Pioneer 11’s path through Saturn’s outer rings took it within 21,000 km of the planet, where it discovered two new moons (almost smacking into one of them in September 1979) and a new “F” ring. The spacecraft also discovered and charted the magnetosphere, magnetic field and mapped the general structure of Saturn’s interior. The spacecraft’s instruments measured the heat radiation from Saturn’s interior and found that its planet-sized moon, Titan, was too cold to support life.par

This image from Pioneer 11 shows Saturn and its moon Titan. The irregularities in ring silhouette and shadow are due to technical anomalies in the preliminary data later corrected. At the time this image was taken, Pioneer was 2,846,000 km (1,768,422 miles) from Saturn.par

‘e2’80’98Inclusive Capitalism’e2’80’99: Bridging business-labor divide

By Nathan Milikowsky and Andrew Stern – Economic policy debates often focus on areas of division and discord. On the minimum wage, you’e2’80’99ll see some businesses fighting labor. On regulation, you have government versus the free market.par
par
There are plenty of areas where American workers and companies agree, however, such as the need for public investments in infrastructure and education.par

‘e2’80’9cInclusive capitalism’e2’80’9d is based on the simple idea that when a company does well, its workers should also do well. Mechanisms to promote inclusive capitalism include everything from broad-based profit-sharing and stock options to worker cooperatives and employee stock ownership plans. more> http://tinyurl.com/c7byfva

We Are Happily Beyond The Days Of Ron Paul’s Lonely Crusades

By Nathan Lewis – On March 14, H.R. 1176, the ‘e2’80’9cCentennial Monetary Commission Act of 2013,’e2’80’9d was presented in Congress. It has thirteen sponsors. We are already beyond the days of Ron Paul’e2’80’99s lonely crusades, of only a few years ago.par

By manipulating the money, the manipulators can induce people to do things ‘e2’80rdblquote hire the unemployed, borrow money, buy stocks, etc. ‘e2’80rdblquote that they would not otherwise do. That’e2’80’99s the idea, anyway. Sometimes it doesn’e2’80’99t quite work out as intended.par

The other idea is the ‘e2’80’9cClassical’e2’80’9d notion of a currency that is as stable, neutral, and free of human intervention as possible. A currency, it is said, should be like a kilogram or meter, a universal constant of commerce, absolutely free of all the human meddling that the Mercantilists say is the solution to all of our problems.par

Banner’s Breakthrough in Wireless Photoelectric Sensors

By Al Presher – Banner’e2’80’99s proprietary wireless technology used in the new photoelectric sensors is based on the 2.4 GHz ISM band, and creates a frequency-hopping, spread spectrum solution. The system doesn’e2’80’99t use Zigbee, WiFi, or other standard radio communication architectures because those solutions can’e2’80’99t provide all the characteristics that this application requires. Specifically, they are not designed for small amounts of data, exceptionally low power, deterministic data transfer, and very long range communications.par

Vodafone vs Verizon -a battle of attrition

By Richard Blackden – On February 11, 2000, Vodafone sealed the then largest takeover in corporate history with its ‘c2’a3112bn capture of German rival Mannesmann.par

While Vodafone and Verizon have jockeyed for position over the future of Verizon Wireless since its creation, it is hard to find anyone who disputes that the American company now enjoys the stronger hand. more> http://tinyurl.com/d3rzxqxpar
