The Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity | Congress and the Fed Refuse to Learn From Their Mistakes

Just as few understood the role our interventionist foreign policy played in the September 11th attacks, few in Congress understood that the 2008 meltdown was caused by the Federal Reserve and Congress, not by unregulated capitalism.

Not surprising to anyone familiar with economic history, the story of the 2008 meltdown starts with the bursting of the Fed-created tech bubble.

The correlation appears strongest when an American county has greater levels of segregation and sees more queries for racially charged search terms.

Elizabeth Warren Exposes Nexus of Corporate-Financed Studies and Think Tanks

Brookings is often described by the corporate mass media as a “liberal” think tank.

However, in reality, Brookings is not particularly “liberal.” It would be better described as a centrist and highly influential establishment think tank – whose analysis and research staff is composed primarily of careerists and academics – that is only “liberal” in contrast to the sharply right wing think tanks, such as the Heritage Foundation.

There are often movements of young people, which tend to be transitory; on the other hand there’s a cumulative effect, and you never know when something will spark into a major movement. It’s happened time and again: civil rights movement, women’s movement. So keep trying until something takes off.
